Meet Afaf The Heart Behind Da3douka

Afaf is the resilient founder of Da3douka, a creative platform born from personal loss and the desire to bring healing and joy to children in Lebanon.

Afaf is the founder of Da3douka, a creative platform born from her personal journey through grief and resilience. After losing her husband, she created Da3douka to provide children with safe, natural clay to foster creativity and healing. What started in her kitchen has grown into mobile workshops that bring joy to over 200 children across Lebanon, including orphans and underserved youth.

Afaf’s mission extends beyond children—she empowers women by offering flexible work opportunities, allowing them to support their families while contributing to Da3douka. Through her leadership, Da3douka offers accessible, creative products that make learning fun for all families, regardless of their background.

Our Vision for Growth and Impact
At Da3douka, our vision is to grow sustainably and expand beyond Lebanon, reaching Gulf countries with accessible, powder-ready products. By developing a simple, sharable recipe with expert support, we aim to minimize risk and build on our success locally before franchising or establishing a direct presence abroad. We are committed to growing a team that empowers students, people in need, and individuals with Down syndrome, creating meaningful job opportunities. Our long-term goals include opening a Da3douka factory and retail locations to make our products available in homes, nurseries, and childcare centers. Through it all, we will continue to re-invest profits wisely and operate with a low-cost, sustainable model to stay true to our mission.

At Da3douka, our mission is to offer an educational, affordable alternative to traditional playdough, which has become overly commercial and costly for schools. We aim to support parents who seek cleaner, safer options for their children while encouraging the use of hand muscles that are often neglected due to excessive screen time. Through our natural clay, we inspire creativity, relieve stress, and help strengthen the emotional bonds between children and their families, creating moments of true connection and joy.
